Veterans Day 2009

As you enjoy your day off, please remember to include in your thoughts and prayers the millions of current and past members of our military who have served our country during both times of peace and times of war.

Chanman,
I hope you had a happy Veterans Day. I had a great day in school discussing Veterans Day with my students.

Ouch! Well, if your students are like mine, I assume they were fascinated talking about anything military.

Chanman,
I posted about my day, but I was stunned when a fellow teacher had his class come and thank me for my service. In the scheme of things, that was one of the coolest things that ever happened to me.

I showed them a PowerPoint that I made and I think they got the message. I made the point that Veterans Day is the most important holiday because it makes all the other possible. They got it.
