Obama and Pelosi need to get their stories straight

Here is our Dear Leader talking about the unemployment rate the other day:



OK, I follow him somewhat: We should be happy the unemployment rate is only 9.6%, because it could up in the 12-15% territory instead. That's a pretty sad and pathetic rationalization, but I can follow it.

However, this issue gets more complicated after Nancy Pelosi opens that incoherent hole under her nose:



Ahhh, so that is how it works! Unemployment creates jobs! If that's the case, then Obama has it all wrong. We WANT to have the unemployment rate at 12 or 15 percent. On second thought, let's just fire everybody! Think of the - how did Nancy put it? - injection of demand into the economy that would occur if everyone lost their job and went on unemployment. I feel stimulated just talking about it!

Seriously, you people on the left side of the aisle out there who think that President Obama and Speaker Pelosi are doing a bang-up job: do you really believe that, or are you just too proud to admit that you got snookered into voting for them?

We are so screwed.
