Now that she has been found out as a fraud on this topic, the lamestream media is twisting itself in knots trying to justify her lies. I previously posted about Fox News contributor Jehmu Greene's racist " bow-tying white boy" comment to Tucker Carlson as she melted down trying in vain to justify Warren's actions. Now we have a new winner for most ridiculous defense of Elizabeth Warren.
Writing for The Hill, Bernie Quigley incredibly posits that Elizabeth Warren, who originally hails from Oklahoma, should be considered a Cherokee Indian because she really, really wants to be:
So Warren's claim to be "part Indian" is correct in mythical terms. Every old-school white Oklahoman is in this regard even if this in nominally not true. But it is not a lie to want to be Indian and to imagine your ancestors were... And I hope Elizabeth Warren doesn't back down on this, because wanting to be Indian, like Hawkeye [the white hero from Last of the Mohicans], makes us in a deeper sense fully American.Wow. Again, one has to ask what Mr. Quigley would have written had Elizabeth Warren's Republican opponent, Scott Brown, been the one to falsely claim Indian ancestry. Somehow, I don't think Quigley would be so quick to dismiss this issue.

Hi Wade,
I am from Oklahoma (Norman/Noble area). Native Oklahomans have known for generations that people who proudly claim "Cherokee" ancestry are, ...well, naive. Some of the story made headlines last year: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/08/25/cherokee-nations-expels-d_n_936930.html
I am of mixed ethnicity, but I know better than to play"The Noble
Savage" card.

Hi Wade, You Choctaw warrior, you, with the roll number from your Great Grandma. It is the same as your Grandmother and your father. I am in the process of registering you and your children in the Choctaw Nation in Oklahoma. Now you can wear a feather, not a dot. Unlike Elizabeth Warren, you don't have to lie about it.
Hi Wade,
Yes, please a wear a feather! But seriously, you should visit Durant and the Ouchitas sometime, if you haven't.
Jerry
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am indeed part Choctaw. My great grandmother on my father's side was a full-blooded Choctaw. My father moved away from Oklahoma when he was a kid, but most of his family was from the Sooner State.
Gee, does this mean I can get a full professorship from Harvard?
Did you apply for one? Are you otherwise qualified?
Why such small potato topics? Why not go after Obama's relationship with Jamie Dimon and the banking cartels? or Eric Holder and his selective application of justice? There's such a fecund field of corruption out there that goes way beyond Warren. Buck up, Wade! (Sorry for the pun, Chief!) jdw
I enjoyed reading your blog thanks.
