Barack Obama loves May Day, and wants you to love it, too.

Aside from anonymously placing flowers on someone's doorstep, the first day of the month of May - known as May Day - is best known around the world as the day when Communists throw a party.

When I was a kid, I remember every May Day watching news footage of Soviet military parades with marching troops, tanks, and gigantic trucks with missiles on them.

How unusual then that our Dear Leader, President Barack Obama, would pick May 1st, 2012 to issue a presidential proclamation that concludes with the following:
In order to recognize the American spirit of loyalty and the sacrifices that so many have made for our Nation, the Congress, by Public Law 85-529 as amended, has designated May 1 of each year as "Loyalty Day." On this day, let us reaffirm our allegiance to the United States of America, our Constitution, and our founding values. NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 1, 2012, as Loyalty Day. This Loyalty Day, I call upon all the people of the United States to join in support of this national observance, whether by displaying the flag of the United States or pledging allegiance to the Republic for which it stands. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.
BARACK OBAMA
I can think of plenty of more appropriate days to reaffirm our loyalty or allegiance to our Republic, to our Constitution, and our founding values.

How about April 19th, when in 1775, Massachusetts patriots kicked off the American Revolution at Lexington and Concord?

How about the last Monday in May, which has long been designated as Memorial Day?

How about June 14th, which has long been designated as Flag Day?

How about July 4th, which has long been designated as Independence Day?

How about September 17th, which has long been designated as Constitution Day?

How about October 19th, when in 1781, our country's independence was guaranteed by our defeat of British forces at Yorktown, Virginia?

How about November 11th, which has long been designated as Veterans Day?

But no, instead Barack Obama chooses May Day, also known as International Workers Day, also known as a common day of celebration in the socialist/communist world.  Could the man be any more in-your-face?  I find it simply appalling, but not surprising, that he would associate our country - founded in the spirit of God-given rights and individual liberty - with a murderous collectivist ideology that looks at government as God.

God Help us.

Scary! He can proclaim loyalty to our "Constitution, and our founding values" on the one hand, and promote and sign the NDAA on the other. He also claims power to "federalize" the nation's food supplies if his administration determines we are in a national emergency situation. These laws go beyond anything King George ever attempted, but not that far from Stalin.
