Here is what one of the genius students has to say about this pressing issue, and I want you to take special note of something that is mentioned in this snippet:
These students attend Trinity University; a Presbyterian university that was founded in 1869.
You know: Trinity! As in Father, SON, and Holy Spirit? That's SON, as in Jesus Christ.
A group of students at Trinity University is lobbying trustees to drop a reference to “Our Lord” on their diplomas, arguing it does not respect the diversity of religions on campus.
"A diploma is a very personal item, and people want to proudly display it in their offices and homes,” said Sidra Qureshi, president of Trinity Diversity Connection. “By having the phrase ‘In the Year of Our Lord,' it is directly referencing Jesus Christ, and not everyone believes in Jesus Christ...”Heh. Did you catch it?

I was just wondering if they will want the name of the university changed on their diploma as well.
We live in interesting times.
Good Day to You, Sir

Chanman,
Good post. It really gets tiresome with these ill-informed twits and their imaginary slights. Who would think to go to a Christian school and then whine about references to God? That's right, an overprivileged little dweeb getting an education that their parents pay for. I wonder how the speaker would cope with some real discrimination like in Oh, the Middle East. What a pain.
