Crime novel author Robert Ferrigno has written a series of novels that are set in an America that has been conquered by Islam. The first in the series is called Prayers for the Assassin; the second is called Sins of the Assassin.
A review of the books in Pajamas Media describes the book series as a thriller set in the not too distant future where Islam dominates the globe, and the United States is no more, either as a superpower or even one nation, riven by a cold civil war between the Islamic Republic of America and the recalcitrant Bible Belt.
I have a backlog of unread books about three feet thick, but I am going to have to find a space somewhere for this series of books. If you are in to alternate history novels, another author you should check out is Harry Turtledove. The first book of his that I read was The Guns of the South, which tells the story of some South African white supremacist types who time travel to the Civil War and offer a supply of AK-47s to Robert E. Lee and his army. Lee goes along with it and wins some very one-sided battles and ultimately the war against the Union Army. But then Lee discovers the true intentions of the South Africans.
Happy reading!
Good Day to You, Sir
